Jaguar F-Type Comes to LA Show with Added "Design" and “Black” Packs
Choosing the Paris Auto Show for unveiling the brand-new F-Type roadster was for Jaguar, all a matter of the event’s high profile. However, as its execs know all too well, the new roadster's biggest market will be the U.S. – and it’s no coincidence that they announced its pricing two months before the car even landed on American soil.
This happened at the LA Auto Show with Jaguar saying that it believes the roadster will prove more than competent enough to prove worthy to its unofficial “new E-Type” label.
The F-Type is available in three flavors. These include the base model that comes with a 335HP supercharged V6 and a US$69,000 starting price, the 375HP S with a more potent V6 and a heftier US$81,000 price tag, and the range-topper that’s powered by a 488HP supercharged V8, for which you’ll have to shell out US$92,000 (all prices excluding a US$875 destination and handling charge).
The car that was on Jaguar’s stand sported the special-order Firesand paint and was equipped with the optional “Design” and exterior and interior “Black” packs.
The “Design” pack sports body colored side sill extensions, a front splitter and a gloss black color-keyed rear valance (on V6 models only).
The exterior 'Black' pack is available with Firesand, Ultimate Black, Polaris White, Italian Racing Red, Rhodium Silver and Satellite Grey colors and, depending on the variant, adds a gloss black finish to items such as the front grille surround, the side power vents and the roll hoops.
